Āmiki is the Māori word for deep story telling and we believe that Canterbury has an exciting and vibrant cultural and culinary story just waiting to be shared.
Ngā hari o te po! | The night of many delights! This is progressive dinner with a twist…Soak up the local feel of the newest city on the planet as you enjoy its emerging foodie scene.

What if you could join a passionate local to explore some of our inner city unique spots and delicious culinary delights?
Your hosts will take you to some of our favourite establishments to share kai/food and taste a few of the region’s finest wines and local craft beers. You will also visit a locally-loved modern New Zealand restaurants for seasonal shared plates of local produce. All of which are just like us – whanau/family owned and operated businesses with a passion for providing an exceptional experience for their customers
Between courses you will learn the heritage and culture of the local area and learn how the locals pronounce Ōtãkaro, Ōtautahi, Maanakitanga, Kai and Hongi and hear what these words mean to Māori.
